"Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice."" (Jon 2:1-2)
Current Study - Book of Jonah
This Sunday we dive into chapter 2 of Jonah and talk about everyone's favorite fish. But don't forget that to focus on the great fish is to lose sight of our great God. We will be examining Jonah as a picture of Jesus to come in paying for sin, his death, and resurrection. Jonah's prayer from the belly of the fish is a great reminder that our salvation is all of grace and we can do nothing to earn it. What a great gift our God has given us! Please join us as we not only discuss the fish, but also salvation that comes from the Lord alone.
