"And the LORD said, "Do you do well to be angry?"" Jonah 4:4

We are finishing up Jonah this week. We might think Jonah would rejoice at the salvation of the Ninevites and that the story would end in chapter three. But that is not the case as Jonah is angry over God's mercy. Jonah is angry that God had mercy on these great sinners as well as mercy on Gentiles. Do we ever get angry in a similar fashion? Do we ever resent God's goodness toward others and become jealous? Jonah reminds us that we should rejoice in God's blessing of our neighbor. Jonah also reminds us to seek the greater, ultimate prophet who is Jesus Christ. As we conclude this study we will see how Jonah is a picture of the greater prophet to come. Please join us as we examine our own lives, but especially examine the life of our savior from this Old Testament prophet.
