'The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. ' 1 Timothy 1:15

Paul's Thanksgiving to God for Grace

Can someone be so evil that God would refuse to pardon their sins if they wanted him to? There have been many evil men and women in history and Paul says he is the foremost, and yet God showed him mercy, so yes God will forgive anyone their sins. The greatest story ever told of Jesus Christ coming into the world to save sinners is one many of us have heard time and time again. We can grow cold towards it if we're not careful, but don't grow jaded brothers and sisters! Let us learn from Paul's testimony here in 1 Timothy 1:12-17 to recall our sins against God and his great pardon of them. Does it cause you to worship just to consider the mercy you've been shown? Paul couldn't help himself. He bursts into praise just thinking of what the Lord has done for him. So I invite you to come and hear the most incredible news you've ever heard this Sunday at Good Shepherd OPC, and if you've received forgiveness, then come and burst into praise as the Apostle Paul modeled for us. I look forward to seeing you there!
