Why is Christian community important?

God is community.

God is community.

He exists One God in Three Persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God’s Word is community—over 40 authors, with partnering companionship between the voice of the Old Testament and New. God speaks in both. He, Himself converses—Old to the New; New back to the Old. When we were born from above, by the sole work of the Holy Spirit, we were born into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ; as individuals we are born—but into family. Jesus asked, “Who are my brothers and sisters and mother—those who hear and do the will of God.” We are born as members of the body of Christ. The forgiveness we have received is not just a personal pardon—merely concerned with a right vertical relationship with God; but also the new creation, new-family relationship with one another.

I hope you will find a church home, a place to give and receive within the body of Christ, among the people of God, and in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
