"Christians are so superficial." Do you agree? Superficiality, among other epithets, are hurled at Christians because we do not live as we ought to live. The Sermon on the Mount is a great antidote to such thinking as Jesus unfolds what is required of his followers. In this sermon, Jesus, the prince of preachers, unites doctrine and practice in an easy to understand way. I invite you to join us this week as we begin to study this great sermon from Matthew 5-7. The Sermon on the Mount will remind us that while we are not saved by our good works (we are only saved by the works of Christ) good works are the outflow of our salvation. Thus, let us listen to Jesus Christ who teaches us how to be holy.
